Tee Ball Division
Allowable age range: 4-5; teams assigned based on buddy/coach requests at registration and home school.
T-Ball is an introductory division for boys and girls ages 4 - 5 who are new to the game of baseball. T-Ball is not competitive but entirely for fun. No score is kept and a cushioned baseball is used. Players will be exposed to the basics of baseball including but not limited to, catching, throwing, hitting, and base running. Players hit balls placed on a tee. Teams typically have a practice and play one game a week.
Skill Goals:
- Learn bat/equipment safety
- Learn basic throwing skills
- Introduction to positions (infield, outfield, bases)
- Learn which direction to run the bases
- Introduction to team sports and getting along with others
- Have Fun!
There is usually 1 practice per week and 1 game on Saturday. Everyone plays!
Rookie Division
Allowable age range: 5-6; teams assigned based on buddy/coach requests at registration and home school.
The Rookie Division is a non-competitive, developmental division; coaching emphasis is on player instruction and development. Batters will be introduced to live pitching with coach pitches and then the use of the tee if necessary. Division rules are in-place to mandate player rotation in a variety of positions. Ten players are assigned to field positions each inning, and all rostered players bat, whether assigned to a field position or not, in a continuous batting order.
Skill Goals:
- Learn the fundamentals of how to hold, aim and throw a ball
- Learn the fundamentals of fielding ground balls with emphasis on proper stance and glove position
- Learn the fundamentals of catching fly balls with emphasis on moving to the ball location and proper glove and hand position
- Learn the fundamentals of base running
- Learn the fundamentals of hitting
- Learn to love the game of baseball
For the first half of the season there are usually 2 practices per week and 1 game, which is always on Saturday. During the second half of the season there are usually 1 practice per week and 2 games, one of which is always on Saturday.
Single A Division
Allowable age range: 7; teams assigned based a skills evaluation held in January.
"Single A” Division is semi-competitive and developmental division; coaching emphasis is on player instruction and development.All players are evaluated prior to team formation in the areas of hitting, catching, throwing, and base running. Although buddy and coach requests will strongly be considered, they are not guaranteed. Batters will be introduced to live pitching as well as having coach pitching. In the second half of the season, teams will transition to player pitch with players throwing pitches to batters and having coaches support with additional pitches if necessary. Division rules (fair play) are in-place to mandate player rotation in a variety of positions. Ten players are assigned to field positions each inning, and all rostered players bat whether assigned to a field position or not in continuous batting order.Game scores are recorded. Upon completion of the regular season, all teams participate in a playoff tournament to determine first and second place.
Skill Goals:
- Develop batting skills through proper stance and pitch recognition
- Develop fielding skills (infield and outfield positions, making the play at the correct base, backing up plays at the plate and in the field)
- Develop base running ability (when to run and listening to the 1st and 3rd base coaches)
- Develop tracking skills for catching fly balls
- Pitchers learning proper throwing mechanics
- Develop “big 3” skills of catching (receiving, blocking, throwing), as importance of this position increases at this level
- Learn to love the game of baseball
There are usually 1 practice per week and 2 games, one of which is always on Saturday.
AA Division
Player evaluations required to assess ability; teams assigned based on manager draft
Allowable age range: 8-9
AA is a developmental division with semi-competitive play. All players are evaluated prior to team formation in the areas of hitting, catching, throwing, and base running. Managers draft players based on evaluation ratings. Coaches are encouraged to emphasize player instruction and development. AA is player pitch. Each player must play a minimum of 1 at bat and 6 defensive outs (2 innings) in a six-inning game. Division rules (fair play) are in-place to mandate player rotation in a variety of positions. Nine players are assigned to field positions each inning, and all roster players bat whether assigned to the field or not (continuous batting order). Game scores are recorded. Upon completion of the regular season, all teams participate in a playoff tournament to determine first and second place.
Skill Goals:
- Develop batting skills through proper stance and pitch recognition
- Develop fielding skills (infield and outfield positions, making the play at the correct base, backing up plays at the plate and in the field)
- Develop base running ability (when to run and listening to the 1st and 3rd base coaches)

- Develop tracking skills for catching fly balls

There are usually 2 practices per week and 2 games, one of which is always on Saturday.
AAA Division
Player evaluations required to assess ability; teams assigned based on manager draft
Allowable age range: 10-11
AAA is the highest level of competition in the Minors Division. Managers draft players based on evaluation ratings and their individual team needs. All players are evaluated prior to team formation in the areas of hitting, catching, throwing, and base running. Each player must play a minimum of 1 at bat and 6 defensive outs (2 innings) in a six-inning game. Division rules (fair play) are in-place to mandate player rotation in a variety of positions. Coaches focus on developing individual and team skills to prepare them for the Majors Division. Game scores and standings are recorded. Upon completion of the regular season, a playoff tournament is held to determine 1st and 2nd place. The First Place team from the tournament advances to the District Level Tournament of Champions (TOC’s)
Skill Goals:
- Continued focus on good sportsmanship and team play!
- Arm strengthening through practice (long toss, j-bands)
- Batting skills development including bunting and pitch recognition and selection
- Increased development of “big 3” skills of catching (receiving, blocking, throwing), as importance of this position increases at this level
- Pitching emphasis on good mechanics, injury prevention
- Develop base running skills for situational play
- Fielding emphasis on getting behind the ball and setting up the throw, getting ball to the correct
- position for the out or to keep the runners from advancing
Usually 2-3 practices per week and 2 games, one of which is always on Saturday.
Majors Division
Player evaluations required to assess ability; teams assigned based on manager draft
Allowable age range: 11-12
Rules Restrictions: By Little League Rules, all 12 yr olds regardless of skill MUST play in this division unless the Parent/Guardian signs a waiver stating otherwise.
Majors is considered to be a highly competitive division. Managers draft players based on evaluation ratings and their individual team need. Each player must play a minimum of 1 at bat and 6 defensive outs (2 innings) in a six-inning game. Coaches focus on developing individual and overall team skills to field the most competitive team. Game scores and standings are recorded. Upon completion of the regular season, a playoff tournament is held to determine 1st and 2nd place. The First Place team advances to the District Level Tournament of Champions (TOC’s).
Skill Goals:
- Develop batting mechanics and pitch recognition and selection
- Develop accurate throws from outfielders to proper cutoff person
- After fielding the ball knowing where to make an accurate throw. Develop fielding strategies based on skills
- Reading signals from Coach/Manager and implementing directives
- Arm strengthening and accuracy thru practices (long toss, j-bands)
- Pitching emphasis is to develop good mechanics and injury prevention/arm care
- Catcher skills include developing pitch calling skills, accurate throws, minimize pass balls, etc
- Good Sportsmanship!
There are usually 2-3 practices per week and 2 games, one of which is always on Saturday. Majors’ teams also play teams from other local leagues in "inter-leagueplay”.
Intermediate Division
Player evaluations required to assess ability; teams assigned based on manager draft
Allowable age range: 13 yr olds
Geared for:
- 13 yr olds who have mastered the skills of Majors
Rules Restrictions: Games are played on a 50/70 diamond: 70ft between bases and 50 ft from the pitcher's mound to home plate. The outfield fences are also be further as distances will vary by field. Second half of season, games will transition to a 50/80 diamond.
Intermediate is a competitive Division. Managers draft players based on tryout ratings and their individual team needs. For the highly competitive "gold" team. Coaches focus on developing individual and overall team skills to field the most competitive team. Game scores and standings are recorded. Games will be played between other Intermediate teams within District 57 and other surrounding districts. Some travel to surrounding cities will be necessary.

Junior Division
Player evaluations required to assess ability; teams assigned based on manager draft
Allowable age range: 14 yr olds
Geared for:
- 14 yr olds who have mastered the skills of Majors
Rules Restrictions: Games are played on a 54/80 diamond: 80 ft between bases and 54 ft from the pitcher's mound to home plate. The outfield fences are also be further as distances will vary by field. Second half of season, games will transition to a 60/90 diamond.
Juniors is a competitive Division. Managers draft players based on tryout ratings and their individual team needs. For the highly competitive "gold" team, Dublin combines with San Ramon Little League and Canyon Creek Little League. Coaches focus on developing individual and overall team skills to field the most competitive team. Game scores and standings are recorded. Games will be played between other Junior teams within District 57 and other surrounding districts. Some travel to surrounding cities will be necessary.

Rules Restrictions: Games are played on a 60/90 diamond: 90 ft between bases and 60 ft from the pitcher's mound to home plate. The outfield fences are also be further as distances will vary by field.
Seniors is a competitive Division. Depending on number of registrations, Dublin usually combines with other neighboring leagues in the district to form a team. Coaches focus on developing individual and overall team skills to field the most competitive team. Game scores and standings are recorded. Games will be played between other Senior teams within District 57 and other surrounding districts. Some travel to surrounding cities will be necessary.
